Goan Prawn Curry

A tangy, flavorful curry made with fresh prawns simmered in a coconut-based gravy infused with Goan spices.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g prawns (cleaned)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 2 onions (sliced)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Goan curry powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Recipe:

  1. Marinate prawns with turmeric and salt. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil, sauté onions, and tomatoes until soft.
  3. Add Goan curry powder, tamarind pulp, and coconut milk. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add prawns and simmer until cooked. Serve with steamed rice.
